Event overview
The East Fife Triathlon Festival takes place on Sunday 19 April 2026 at Cupar Sports Centre and Duffus Park Community Hub in Cupar. The programme includes Sprint and Novice triathlons, a Sprint Aquabike, junior Tristars races, and the Scottish National Student Sprint Triathlon Championship. Organisers have introduced a new bike and run route and an improved transition area. All races finish in front of the Duffus Park grandstand.
Races and distances
- Sprint Triathlon: 750m pool swim, 25.5km cycle, 5km trail run.
- Sprint Aquabike: 750m pool swim, 22km cycle, no run - finish at entry to T2.
- Novice Triathlon: 400m pool swim, 8.5km cycle, 3.2km trail run.
- Tristars (age 8+): 50m pool swim, 1.5km bike, 650m trail run.
Entry, licensing and race information
Races use the 25m pool with lane ordering based on estimated swim times; estimated swim times can be changed up to event-specific deadlines (for the student championship the deadline is 30 March; other events allow changes up to 10 April). A British Triathlon Race Pass or home-nation membership is required for non-members; Race Pass costs are £2 for participants aged 24 and under and £8 for those aged 25 and above. Withdrawals up to 28 days before the event receive a 75% refund, up to 14 days receive a 50% refund, and no refunds are given after 5 April. If the event is cancelled for reasons outside the organiser's control, no refunds will be offered but organisers will attempt to reschedule and transfer original entries.
