Event Overview
The Glamis Castle Festive Trail Runs take place in the private grounds of Glamis Castle in Angus, Scotland. The event offers several trail running distances with a festive theme.
Distances and Details
Three main running options are available.
- Festive Family 1 mile: For participants aged 3 to 11 years. An accompanying adult guardian can run for free.
- Festive 5 Mile Trail Run: For participants aged 11 and over.
- Festive 10 Mile Trail Run: For participants aged 15 and over. The 10-mile course consists of two laps.
The 5-mile and 10-mile runs are canicross-friendly, allowing one dog per runner on a lead. The family mile is excluded from this.
Event Features
Live chip timing is provided for the runs. All finishers receive a bespoke event medal, Wild Deer merchandise, and a festive snack and drink. Children also get a selection box. A custom event t-shirt can be added during registration for an additional fee. On-site parking is available for participants and spectators.
