Glamis Castle Festive Trail Runs 2026
This is a festive trail running event held within the private grounds of Glamis Castle in Angus, DD8 1RK. The event takes place across woodland and parkland on the castle estate and offers route maps for each distance.
Distances
- Festive Family 1 mile (ages 3 to 11). Adult guardian runs free.
- Festive 5 mile (minimum age 11 years).
- Festive 10 mile (two lap route, minimum age 15 years).
The 10 mile course is run as two laps. Route maps are provided for the family route, the 5 mile route, and the 10 mile route.
This event is Canicross friendly except for the family mile. One well controlled dog per runner is allowed and dogs must remain on a lead at all times.
Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North to produce instant and accurate race results. At the finish, all finishers receive a bespoke event medal for the tree, Wild Deer merchandise, and a festive snack and drink; children receive a selection box. A custom event T shirt is available for an additional £12 during registration. Parking is available on site for participants and spectators.
