Sidlaw Ultra 2026
The Sidlaw Ultra is a solo trail ultra held on 28 November 2026. The route is approximately 69 km, running from Glamis Castle to Scone Palace across Sidlaw trails and hill top viewpoints. This is the fourth edition of the event and the first in the organiser's Castle Series.
Entries include online entry, insurance, chip timing, GPS tracking with a tracker issued to each runner, live results, a medic team, water at checkpoints and a marked and marshalled route. Drop-off bags are conveyed to checkpoints and finishers receive a medal and a meal voucher to use at the finish where a food truck will provide hot meals. Prizes are awarded to the first finishers in Male, Female and Non Binary categories and spot prizes are distributed by marshals.
The entry fee is £125.00 and the fee includes a bus transfer from Scone Palace to the start at Glamis Castle. An optional early start is available for runners who prefer it. The event describes itself as inclusive toward all genders and LGBTQIA+ participants.
Compulsory kit includes a head torch, whistle, fully charged mobile phone, emergency blanket, emergency food and drink, and the issued GPS tracker; runners are also asked to write emergency contact details on their bib.
