About the race
Eager Beaver Run takes place in Downtown Wilton, Iowa on August 22, 2026. The event offers a community 5K run/walk and a kids 1-mile race for participants 14 and under. Packets may be picked up at the registration tent on the day of the event. A T-shirt is available for purchase for an additional $12.

The 5K includes age divisions listed by group: 14 & under, 15–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–69, and 60+. The 1-mile divisions are 4–5, 6–7, 8–10, 11–12, and 13–14. Awards are planned as overall trophies for men and women in the 5K and for boys and girls in the 1-mile. Medals will be given for first through third place in each age group, and participation ribbons will be provided for all participants. All awards will be handed out near the registration tent following the 1-mile race.
