QC Veteran Outreach Center Run for Veterans 2027
The event takes place on April 10, 2027 in Walcott, Iowa at 127 Bryant Street, Walcott, Iowa 52773. It is organized as a way to run in memory or in honor of a veteran; names provided at registration are displayed on an Honor Wall and recognized during event announcements. Proceeds support the Quad City Veterans Outreach Center and its services, including food, clothing, resources, and assistance for veterans.
Race offerings include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile
Both the 5K and the 1 mile include a wheelchair division. The 5K awards overall top three male and female finishers plus the top three male and female in the following age groups: 8 and under; 9-11; 12-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80 and over. The 1 mile awards one top male and one top female.
Registration includes a shirt and a finishers medal and the race is timed. Packet pickup is available Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at the Quad City Veterans Outreach Center, 4515 N Fairmount Street, Davenport, Iowa, and on race morning starting at 7:00 AM. Participants and volunteers receive tickets to the Grill Out at the American Legion after the race. A hat is offered for an additional $10.
