Event overview
The Dundee 10k is a road race for 10 km held on 7 June 2026. The route runs between Broughty Ferry and Monifieth on a flat, scenic course that has been accurately measured. The start and finish are at Castle Approach / Castle Green in Broughty Ferry. The event is organised by Dundee Roadrunners in partnership with Monifieth High School and is licensed by Scottish Athletics. The event is currently closed to new entries; total places were 350 and the waiting list reached 100 and is also closed.
Logistics and race details
The course includes a loop and an extra out-and-back section on the return. Marshals, directional signage and mile markers will be in place. A water station is passed at approximately 4 km and again at 6 km. The race is chip timed, while prizes are decided by finishing order (gun time). All finishers receive a customised medal. Cash prizes are awarded to both male and female finishers: 1st £70, 2nd £60, 3rd £50; category winners for U20, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70-79 receive £40. Team prizes are awarded with three counters per team.
There are no changing facilities or showers; a place to leave kit will be provided but organisers do not accept responsibility for loss or damage. First aid cover will be provided. Participants must be at least 15 years old. In-ear headphones are not permitted unless medically prescribed; bone-conducting headphones are permitted.
