About the race
The Drumstick Dash takes place on Thanksgiving Day, 11/26/2026, at Lake Harriet in south Minneapolis (4135 W Lake Harriet Parkway). The event program includes multiple runs for adults and children on courses around the lake.
Distances
- 10K Two laps around Lake Harriet on a USATF certified course.
- 3.14 miles One lap around Lake Harriet, about 3.14159 miles.
- 1 mile Fun run with clocked finish time; strollers permitted.
- 0.5 mile Flat half mile for youth on the west side of Lake Harriet; every youth receives a medal.
The Drumstick Dash 10K and the Pi Run are chip timed by Mtec Results. Registration fee options are provided as base fees with optional giveaways: the 10K and Pi Run base fee is $50 with optional long sleeve shirt for an additional $10 or sweatshirt for an additional $25. The Cranberry Cruise Mile and the Cranberry Kids Half Mile have a base fee of $10 with an optional winter beanie for an additional $10. Participants selecting no giveaway may purchase one at packet pick-up, subject to size availability. The combined field for the 10K and Pi Run is limited to 850 entries. All entries are final and race entry fees are non refundable. Packet pick-up is available at local running stores and at the Lake Harriet bandshell on race day. Post race cookies are provided.
