Minneapolis SKECHERS Hot Chocolate Run : November 7, 2026
The event is a road race held at Boom Island Park in Minneapolis on November 7, 2026. Runners can choose from the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
Registration includes a swag kit with an exclusive full-zip jacket and a finisher's medal. Races are professionally timed and free high-resolution photos and results are emailed to participants. Live runner tracking is available for participants and spectators.
Course, expo and post-race
The route starts at Boom Island Park and runs along the Mississippi River with views that include Saint Anthony Falls, Merriam Street Bridge, and the Stone Arch Bridge. A post-race party at Boom Island Park will offer music, vendors, hot chocolate, a finisher's mug with chocolate fondue and dippables.
Packet pickup takes place at the Hot Chocolate Expo on Friday, November 6, 2026, at Royalston Square, 501 Royalston Ave. The expo is free and open to the public. Packet mailing is offered for a fee and must be added by October 18, 2026; there is no race day packet pickup.
Parking is not allowed at Boom Island Park. Public transportation, ride sharing, carpooling, and nearby parking garages are noted as options. Expo parking at Royalston Square is free and first come, first served.
Cocoa Club and awards
A Ghirardelli Cocoa Club upgrade offers a shopping bag with single-serve cocoa, $35 onsite credit, VIP corral placement, access to a reserved area, a hot breakfast item, heaters if needed, dedicated restrooms, and extra dippables.
Overall awards will go to the top three male and female finishers in each distance, with cash prizes and free registration for next year. Age-group awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers across standard age brackets, with registration discounts and patches for top finishers.
