2026 Young Marines Drug Demand Reduction Dash 5K
The 10th Annual Drug Demand Reduction Dash is a 5K held at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Triangle, Virginia (18900 Jefferson Davis Highway). The event is organized by the Young Marines as part of national Red Ribbon Week and is timed by Bishop's Events, LLC. Points from the event count toward the organizer's Fall Series.
The race is held to remember Enrique "Kiki" Camarena, a Drug Enforcement Administration agent who lost his life, and to honor law enforcement agents who work to reduce drug harm. All proceeds benefit the Young Marines, a national youth nonprofit that promotes self-confidence, academic achievement, veteran recognition, community service, and a drug-free lifestyle.
Registered runners receive a finisher's medal, an event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirt availability is guaranteed for runners registered before September 16; additional shirts are distributed after that date on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration fees are listed as $20 initially and $25 on race day, and race day registration is available. Bishop's Events promo or discount codes are not accepted for this event.
The course uses the grounds and the recently completed path at the museum. Water stations are located along the route and restrooms are available inside the museum. Live results are posted on Athlinks with a QR code available at the race; final results and series points are posted the Monday after the event.
