Event overview
The Fall Run for the Wounded offers race distances of 5k, 10k, and half-marathon on October 18, 2026 at Prince William Forest Park in Triangle, VA. The event supports the Wounded Warrior Project. Points from this race count toward year-long series including 5k, 10k, Endurance, Back of the Pack, and the Fall Series. A virtual race option is available. Packet pickup is available at the event. There will be no on-site race registration.
Course and logistics
Distances:
- 5k - trail run through the woods.
- 10k - about 50% trail and 50% pavement.
- Half-marathon - mostly pavement, about 60%.
The course includes hills. Water and aid: the half-marathon has eight water stations at listed mile markers; the 10k has three water stations; the 5k has one water station. Gatorade will be available at some stations. The half-marathon has a completion time limit of 3:15. Results: live results will be posted online with a race-day QR code and final results with series points posted the Monday after the race. Runners receive a finisher’s coin, a technical Drifit event shirt, and chip timing. Parking is at the Williams Ballfield off the main park road using GPS coordinates 38.559346, -77.348438.
