Fall Run for the Wounded Half
This event takes place in Prince William Forest Park in Triangle, Virginia. It features three distances: a 5k, a 10k, and a half marathon. Walkers are welcome.
The course is described as hilly. The 5k is a trail run. The 10k uses a combination of trail and pavement. The half marathon is mostly on paved roads.
All participants receive a finisher's medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. A virtual run option is available for those who cannot attend in person. Race points count towards several year-long series, including a Back of the Pack series for participants with higher average paces.
The event supports the Wounded Warrior Project charity. There are water stations along all routes, with restrooms available near the visitor center. The race operates in all weather conditions, with cancellations being rare.
Awards are given to the top three overall men and women, as well as to the first and second place finishers in various age categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
