The Driftless Dash 5K is a community color dash fundraiser held in Veteran's Park, La Crescent, Minnesota, on Friday, May 29, 2026. The event supports the La Crescent-Hokah high school girls' basketball program; funds raised are directed toward jerseys, equipment, transportation, and scholarships.
The course is a 5K route through the Driftless Region landscape with multiple color stations where participants pass through safe, non-toxic, biodegradable powder. Start and finish lines are located at Veteran's Park. Free parking is available at the park, with additional street parking on Park Street.
Participants receive an event t-shirt and a goody bag; color packets are also provided. Registration options include Individual ($35), Team for five or more ($30 per person, includes a team photo opportunity and a group start option), and Virtual ($25), with mailed t-shirts, goody bag items, and color packets for virtual participants.
A post-race celebration takes place at the park with local food trucks and drinks available for purchase, plus music and photo opportunities.
