Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 10K/5K/1K Run & Walk
The NAACP Stockton Branch organizes an annual community run and walk in Stockton, California to honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The event is scheduled for April 11, 2026 at Martin Luther King Plaza, 2 E. Oak Street, Stockton, and runs rain or shine.

Race day includes check-in, pre-race announcements, a warm up, race starts for all distances, and an awards ceremony. Early packet pick-up is scheduled for Friday, April 3, 2026 at Fleet Feet Sports, 265 Lincoln Center, Stockton.
Proceeds support the NAACP Stockton Branch Health Disparity and Mental Health Advocacy Programs and branch operations. Registration fees are listed for each distance: the 1K for ages 9 and under is $15 in advance ($25 on race day) and 5K/10K entries are $50 in advance ($60 on race day). No refunds or transfers are allowed. Fees include a swag bag, a custom tech t-shirt, a finisher medal, wristbands, and pre and post-race refreshments.
Awards for the 5K and 10K include top three overall male and female finishers in 18 and over and in 17 and under age groups, plus recognition for the oldest male and female finishers. All children in the Kid's 1K receive medals; winners must be present to claim awards and awards will not be mailed.
A group discount of 10 percent per person applies to families or teams of five or more who register together under one payer. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
