Event Details
The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 10K/5K/1K Run & Walk takes place on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Stockton, California. The start location is Martin Luther King Plaza.
Schedule:
- 7:30 a.m. – Check-in and race day registration opens.
- 8:15 a.m. – Pre-race announcements.
- 8:30 a.m. – Warm Up.
- 9:00 a.m. – Start for both the 10K and 5K Run/Walk.
- 10:15 a.m. – Start for the 2K Walk/Run.
- 10:30 a.m. – Awards Ceremony.
An early packet pick-up is available at Fleet Feet Sports (265 Lincoln Center, Stockton) on Friday, April 3, 2026, from noon to 6 p.m. The pick-up includes bibs, safety pins, a t-shirt, and a swag bag.
Registration & Fees
Registration fees include a swag bag, custom tech t-shirt, finisher medal, and wristbands. Pre and post-race refreshments are provided for all participants.
- 1K Run/Walk - $15 for ages 9 & under (race day: $25). Does not include a t-shirt.
- 5K/10K - $50 for all ages (race day: $60).
Group registration for five or more people registering at the same time under one payer receives a 10% discount per person. No refunds or transfers are allowed.
Awards
Awards are given in the 5K and 10K categories for the Top 3 Overall Male and Female Finishers (18 & Over), the Top 3 Overall Male and Female Finishers (17 & Under), and the oldest male and female to cross the finish line. All children participating in the 1K Fun Run receive finisher medals. Winners must be present to claim awards.
The event is organized by the NAACP Stockton Branch. Proceeds support the branch's Health Disparity and Mental Health Advocacy Programs and operations, focusing on reducing healthcare inequities and promoting wellness education.
