Honor Stockton Blue
The fifth annual Honor Stockton Blue is a memorial event held in Stockton, California. The run takes place on the campus of the University of the Pacific. This event serves as a tribute to law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty, with this year's proceeds and dedication specifically honoring the memory of Arthur Ford.
Participants can choose from several distance options:
- 10 km run
- 5 km run
- 3 km walk
The course features a staggered start located next to the DeRosa University Center. The route travels north across a footbridge and turns west onto the north side of the Calaveras River. This mostly paved path follows the river into the Brookside area, where participants reach a turnaround point before returning to finish on the university campus.
Registration includes several items for participants, such as a custom t-shirt and a finisher medal. A swag bag is also provided to the first 200 registrants. Following the athletic portions of the event, there is an award ceremony and post-race festivities. These activities include food and gear vendors, live local music, and static displays of Stockton Police Department units, such as SWAT vehicles, K-9 units, and the Mounted Patrol.
Early packet pickup is available at a local running store in Lincoln Center the day before the event for those registered by the mid-April deadline. Registration and check-in are also accessible on the morning of the event at the University of the Pacific. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
