Downtown Doubler 30K/15K/8K/4K 2026
The Downtown Doubler takes place on September 13, 2026 at the City of New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater, 100 East Water Street, New Albany, IN. The event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series and offers in-person and virtual options for each distance.
- 30K - two 15K loops on the riverfront course
- 15K - a single 15K loop on the Ohio River Greenway
- 8K - a single 4K loop run twice for the 8K course layout
- 4K - a single short loop along the riverfront
The course runs along the Ohio River Greenway with views of downtown Louisville and finishes at the New Albany Amphitheater. The Greenway in New Albany includes wetland and bottomland forest, multi-use paths, and a riverfront roadway called Water Street.
Entry includes technical shirts (long sleeve 1/4 zip for the 30K; long sleeve gender-specific for the 15K; short sleeve for 4K and 8K), a custom cooler bag for 30K and 15K entrants, a finisher medal, and free finisher photos. All four distances have virtual options; virtual participants can submit results between September 9 and September 14, with certificates available September 15. Packet mailing is available for $10 if registered by August 31.
Awards are given to top overall finishers, masters, grandmasters, and age-group top three in each distance. Walkers are permitted subject to pace requirements for the 30K. The event supports fundraising for the Ohio River Greenway, with a refund of registration fees for participants who raise $150 or more.
