Downtown Doubler 30k/15k/8k/4k - New Albany, IN
The Downtown Doubler offers four distance options held at the City of New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater and run along the Ohio River Greenway. Distances available:
- 30k - two laps of a 15k loop along the river.
- 15k - one 15k loop on the Greenway.
- 8k - one 4k loop run twice for 8k.
- 4k - a single 4k loop.
All four distances have virtual options. Virtual participants submit results within the event's designated submission window; virtual packets are not mailed unless packet mailing is purchased. There is an option to have race packets mailed for a $10 fee if registered by August 31.
Entry fees include a finisher medal, event technical shirts by distance (long sleeve 1/4 zip for the 30k, long sleeve gender-specific for the 15k, short sleeve for the 8k and 4k), and free finisher photos. Awards are given to top overall finishers, masters and grandmasters, and top three in age-group categories; in-person awards apply to the live events. Minimum age for the 30k is 12. Walkers are permitted but 30k participants must maintain a 12:52 per mile pace. The event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series.
