Downtown Doubler 30k/15k/8k/4k 2026
The Downtown Doubler offers four race distances: 30k, 15k, 8k, and 4k. There is also a virtual option for each distance. The in-person event takes place on September 13, 2026, starting and finishing at the New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater in New Albany, Indiana.
The course runs along the Ohio River Greenway. For the 30k, participants run the 15k loop twice. Participants can enjoy views of downtown Louisville from the riverside path.
Packet pickup begins on race morning at the amphitheater. The entry fee for each distance includes a race shirt, a finisher medal, and free finisher photos. Awards are given for top overall, masters, grandmasters, and age group finishers in all distances. For the 30k and 15k, the minimum age is 12 years old. Walkers are welcome but must maintain a pace of 12:52 per mile for the 30k; the course closes at 11:30 a.m.
The event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series. It also partners with a charity to raise funds for the maintenance of the Ohio River Greenway. Participants can add a donation during registration, and those who raise $250 or more can receive a refund of their registration fee.
