Downtown Doubler 30k/15k/8k/4k - New Albany, IN
The Downtown Doubler offers four in-person distances and virtual options for each distance. The event is based at the City of New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater and uses sections of the Ohio River Greenway, with views of downtown Louisville along the route. The course layout uses a 15k loop and a 4k loop; the 30k is completed by running the 15k loop twice.
Distances:
- 30k - two 15k loops
- 15k - one 15k loop
- 8k - two 4k loops
- 4k - one 4k loop
Entry includes technical shirts by distance (long sleeve 1/4 zip for the 30k, long sleeve gender specific for the 15k, short sleeve for the 8k and 4k), a finisher medal, and free finisher photos. All four distances have a virtual option; virtual participants submit results within a specified window and virtual packets are not mailed unless packet mailing is purchased.
Awards are provided for overall top finishers, masters and grandmasters, and age-group top three places for each distance. Walkers are permitted but 30k walkers must maintain a 12:52 per mile pace. The event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series. A charity partnership supports the Ohio River Greenway and participants who fundraise $150 or more are eligible for a registration fee refund.
