Downtown Doubler 30k/15k/8k/4k : New Albany, IN
The Downtown Doubler takes place on September 13, 2026 at the City of New Albany Riverfront Amphitheater, along the Ohio River Greenway. The event is part of the River City Races Run the 502 series and offers in-person and virtual options for each distance.
Distances offered:
- 30k run as two 15k loops
- 15k
- 8k run as a single 4k loop doubled for 8k
- 4k
Entry includes technical race shirts by distance, a finisher medal, and free finisher photos. There is an option to have a packet mailed for $10 if registered by August 31. Virtual participants can complete their race independently and submit results between September 9 and September 14; virtual packets will not be mailed.
Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers and to masters and grandmasters for the 30k and 15k in-person events, plus age group awards across multiple categories. The 30k has a minimum age of 12. The 8k and 4k include youth age groups beginning with 9 and under. Walkers are permitted in the 30k provided they can maintain a 12:52 per mile pace.
