Downeast Dash, Machias, Maine
Downeast Dash is a community running event held on July 18, 2026 in Machias, Maine. The course begins and ends at the Maine Veterans' Home parking lot. Event proceeds will be donated to the Maine Veterans' Home in Machias to support care for veterans. A post race lunch with residents is part of the event program.

Registration opens May 24, 2026. Pre-registration for the 5K with a T-shirt closes July 1, 2026 and carries a registration fee of $30. General pre-registration for the 5K closes July 17, 2026 with a fee of $20. Pre-registration for the 1 Mile events closes July 17, 2026 with fees of $10 for the regular 1 Mile and $5 for the kids entry.
Raffle prizes are provided by event sponsors. There is an option to make an additional donation during registration to further support the Maine Veterans' Home. Check in will occur at the Maine Veterans' Home parking lot. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
