Powderhouse Challenge
The Powderhouse Challenge is a four-hour community hill-climb event held at Powderhouse Hill in South Berwick, Maine on November 21, 2026. The event raises funds for the Marshwood High School Ski Team to help cover training, coaching, equipment, competition, and related opportunities for student athletes.
Participants may walk up and down the hill as many or as few times as they choose during the event. There is no minimum, no maximum, and no required pace; the activity is not organized as a race. The day will include music, a campfire, and a BBQ lunch included with registration. Registered participants receive a long-sleeve event T-shirt; registration by November 8 guarantees a T-shirt. Raffles are part of the event and each registered participant is entered automatically. Ski tuning is available for a donation.
Registration opens on October 14, 2026 and closes on November 21, 2026. Fees listed by the organizer are Adults (18 and over) $40 and Kids (under 18) $30. Fundraising is optional: participants may create personal fundraising pages for sponsored climbs, or donors may contribute directly to the team without participating.
