Double Peak Challenge 10K/5K Race
The Double Peak Challenge takes place on Saturday, September 26, 2026 at the San Elijo Recreation Center Lower Field, 1105 Elfin Forest Road, San Marcos, CA 92078. The event includes multiple distances and a community race expo.

Entry fees follow tiered presale pricing through September 23 at 12 noon. For the 10K Competitive Race the listed tiers are $60 on 7/31, $70 from 8/1 to 8/31, and $80 from 9/1 to 9/19. For the 5K Fun Run the listed tiers are $30 on 7/31, $40 from 8/1 to 8/31, and $50 from 9/1 to 9/19. The Kids Trot is free.
Finishers receive wooden medals and race shirts are provided for paid distances. Participants age 21 and older receive a complimentary beer ticket. The Kids Trot includes a medal and access to the race expo.
Packet pickup is scheduled for Wednesday, September 23, 4–7 p.m. at North City, 250 N. City Drive, San Marcos 92078, with on-site free parking. Race day bib pickup is also available and may have long lines.
Participant parking is available on surrounding streets and at San Elijo Middle School and San Elijo Elementary School. A designated drop-off area and ADA parking are provided in the lot adjacent to San Elijo Road; no other participant parking is permitted in that area.
