Double Dipsea : Stinson Beach to Mill Valley and back
The Double Dipsea is an annual trail race run entirely on the Dipsea Trail, from Stinson Beach, California to Mill Valley and returning to Stinson Beach. The course distance is 13.7 miles.
The event has been held 55 times since 1970; the 2026 edition will be the 56th running. The race is a handicapped event: every division except the male under 40 division receives a head start, and starting waves are adjusted each year. The event records show a wide age range among finishers; in 2026 the overall winner was a 66 year old woman and the top ten finishers included three women and seven men, with ages from 15 to 67.
Information on registration, course details, bib pick up, shirts and awards, and volunteer opportunities is provided by the organizer. The race uses time cutoffs for finishers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
