Dorney Triathlon : event overview
Dorney Triathlon is a series of triathlon events held at Dorney Lake in Windsor and hosted by RunThrough and ATW Events in 2026. Events take place on multiple dates across spring and autumn months, with listed dates in May, June, July, August, September and October.
The venue is a 2,200 metre flat water rowing lake owned by Eton College and used for international regattas and the London 2012 Olympic rowing events. All three disciplines start and finish outside the Dorney Lake Boathouse and remain within the lake grounds.
The swim follows a 750 m loop. The cycling takes place along the left side of the lake, with two distance options offered. The run uses the right side of the lake and runs along flat grounds beside the water.
Distances offered
- Sprint distance: 750 m swim; 19 km cycle; flat run on lakeside.
- Standard distance: 750 m swim; 38 km cycle; flat run on lakeside.
The course layout emphasizes flat terrain for both bike and run sections and keeps transitions and racing within the Dorney Lake site. Event information materials include an event guide and a course and venue page for further logistical details. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
