Dorney Triathlon - May
This event takes place at Dorney Lake in Windsor and offers multiple triathlon formats held on the lake and its surrounding flat grounds. The course is described as a clear lake swim and flat bike and run sections. The event is draft illegal and chip timed.
Multiple entry options are available, including individual triathlon distances, aquabike entries that omit the run, and relay teams of two or three athletes sharing the disciplines. Some Sprint and Standard waves are sold out while a final Sprint wave is open. British Triathlon membership or a single use race licence is required to compete. Wetsuit hire is available through partner providers for season or short term rental.
Distances for the main formats include:
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run.
- Standard: 1500 m swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run.
- Super Sprint: 400 m swim, 10 km bike, 2.5 km run.
Age eligibility differs by distance category; Sprint and Super Sprint entries are open to athletes aged 15 and over on 31/12/2026, and Standard entries are open to athletes aged 17 and over on 31/12/2026.
