Dorney Lake Triathlon
The Dorney Lake Triathlon takes place at a purpose-built Olympic venue in Windsor. The event features multiple multisport distances held on a flat course, which consists of a swim in the lake followed by bike and run sections on the surrounding roads. The flat terrain and chip timing make the venue suitable for participants seeking personal best times.
Participants can choose from several distance options and formats:
- Super Sprint Triathlon: 400m swim, 9.5km bike (2 laps), and 2.5km run.
- Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 19km bike (4 laps), and 5km run.
- Standard Triathlon: 1500m swim, 38km bike (8 laps), and 10km run.
- Aquabike: A swim-bike format available for those who do not wish to run.
- Relay: Options for teams of 2 or 3 people to share the disciplines.
The course is accurately marked with distance flags at every kilometre. Marshals are stationed throughout the venue to provide guidance during the race. The event area includes an event village with food and drink options. Registration includes chip-timed results, free race photos, a themed medal, and post-race goodies. This event is held in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The venue is located at Dorney Lake, which provides a closed-road environment for the cycling and running stages. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
