Dorney Lake Evening Sprint Triathlon and Sprint Aquabike
The Dorney Lake Evening Triathlon takes place in Windsor at a purpose-built Olympic venue. This mid-week event offers participants a flat environment for multisport racing, utilizing the calm waters of the lake and the surrounding grounds for cycling and running. All course segments are accurately marked with distance flags and supported by marshals.
The event features several race options:
- Super Sprint Triathlon: 400m swim, 9.5km bike (2 laps), and a 2.5km run.
- Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim, 19km bike (4 laps), and a 5km run (2 laps).
- Sprint Aquabike: 750m swim and a 20km bike leg.
The cycling and running portions are held on road terrain with minimal elevation changes. The bike course for the sprint distance has approximately 40m of elevation over four laps, while the run course is flat with roughly 6m of elevation.
Participants receive a themed medal upon completion. The event provides chip-timed results and free digital race photos. An event village is located on-site, offering post-race refreshments and food options. Charity entry options are available for those wishing to support Macmillan Cancer Support.
