Dorney Lake Duathlon
The Dorney Lake Duathlon is a multi-sport event held at the Dorney Lake Olympic venue in Windsor. The competition takes place on flat ground and features road terrain throughout the course. Participants utilize a chip-timing system to record their official results.
The event offers several individual and relay distances to choose from:
- Super Sprint Duathlon: 2.5 km Run, 9.5 km Bike (2 Laps), and 2.5 km Run.
- Sprint Duathlon: 5 km Run, 19 km Bike (4 Laps), and 2.5 km Run.
- Standard Duathlon: 10 km Run, 38 km Bike (8 Laps), and 5 km Run.
- Relay Options: Teams of two or three people can participate in Sprint, Standard, or Super Sprint distances.
The venue features an event village with various food and drink options. Every participant receives a themed medal, free race photos, and post-race goodies at the finish line. Marshals are stationed throughout the grounds to provide course directions and support. Each discipline is marked with distance flags to assist with navigation. The bike and run segments follow a flat profile, with the highest total elevation reaching 80 meters for the Standard distance.
