Run Dorney Lake takes place at Dorney Lake, near the village of Dorney in Buckinghamshire, on the purpose-built rowing lake used at London 2012. The event offers three road race distances around the lake and uses chip timing.
The course is flat and road-surfaced, with lap formats and elevation changes recorded for each distance. Distances include:
- Half Marathon 4 laps plus a U-turn each lap, elevation 27 m
- 10k 2 laps, elevation 15 m
- 5k 1 lap, elevation 8 m
Entries include a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip-timed results and post race goodies. The organiser provides marshals to guide runners and an event village with food and drink options and partner giveaways at the finish.
The organiser states that sustainability is a growing priority and has put measures in place. RunThrough memberships can be used for entry; however, when the event sells out no additional places will be available, including for members.
