Event overview
The Remembrance Run is a timed challenge event on 8 November 2026. The event is a 7-hour and 2-minute time challenge that lets participants choose how far to run. A two-minute silence will be observed during the event and two minutes will be deducted from official finish times. Maximum entrants are 300 and the minimum age to take part is 12 years. Entries close on 07/11/2026.
Course and facilities
The course runs along a stretch of the River Thames. It is fully signed and uses well maintained paths, a small grass section and some trail paths; sections can become muddy in adverse weather. Toilets and changing facilities are available at the race headquarters. A bag drop is provided but items are left at the participant’s own risk. An aid table and drinks station are available at the start/finish of each lap with a selection of drinks and savoury and sweet snacks, including vegan options. Headphones are allowed. Runners are asked to be considerate of other path users.
Distances and entry details
- Minimum distance: 3 km (part of a lap)
- Full lap: 7 km (4.37 miles) - may be a 3.28 mile loop if course conditions require
- Half marathon: 3 laps
- Marathon: 6 laps
- Ultra: 7 laps or more
- 50 km option available
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a medal. Distance pins are issued for half-marathon and longer distances. Transfers up to the day before the event cost £2.50 online; a deferral to another event is available for £18. Age limits apply for distances over 45 km.
