Remembrance Run 2026 - South
The Remembrance Run in Surrey is a commemorative running event that observes a two minute silence and adjusts official times accordingly. The event is presented as a time challenge that lets participants choose how far to run within the allotted time.
The format is a 7 hour Time Challenge with a minimum distance of 3 km as part of a lap. A full lap is listed as 7 km (4.37 miles) but may change to a 3.28 mile loop depending on course conditions. The course includes 3 km and 5 km turn points to accommodate younger runners; standard lap counts apply for half marathon, marathon and ultra distances.

The route runs along the River Thames, is fully signed, and is roughly 60% well-made path or tarmac with the remainder on grass and light trail that can become muddy. Road shoes are acceptable year-round; trail shoes may help on softer sections.
Finishers who complete at least 3 km receive a medal; distance pins are available for half-marathon, mega-half, marathon, 50 km and ultra results. Finishers receive a goody bag, with a vegan option. An aid and drinks table is provided at the start/finish of each lap offering savoury, sweet, fruit, cheese and vegan items.
Venue facilities include toilets at The Last Hop but no separate changing rooms or showers. Parking is available at Bridge Street Car Park in Staines TW18 4TP. Final race instructions are sent by email and number pick up takes place on event day. A bag drop is available but is not secure.
