Dorney Lake Duathlon
The Dorney Lake Duathlon takes place at the Olympic rowing venue in Windsor. The event utilizes the flat and scenic grounds of the estate to provide a course consisting entirely of road terrain. Because the landscape features minimal elevation changes, the bike and run sections are conducive to chip-timed personal bests.
Participants can choose from several individual distances or join a relay team where two or three people share the different segments of the race. The course is marked with distance flags and staffed by marshals to provide direction and encouragement.
Distances available at the event include:
- Super Sprint Duathlon: 2.5km run, 9.5km bike (2 laps), and 2.5km run.
- Sprint Duathlon: 5km run, 19km bike (4 laps), and 2.5km run.
- Standard Duathlon: 10km run, 38km bike (8 laps), and 5km run.
- Relay Options: Available for Sprint, Standard, and Super Sprint distances.
All participants receive chip-timed results and free race photos. At the finish line, finishers are provided with a themed medal and a selection of post-race goodies.
