River Thames Half Marathon - 25 October 2026
The River Thames Half Marathon takes place in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey on 25 October 2026. The start and finish are at Walton Bridge and the route follows the River Thames towpath and nearby roads to Hampton Court Bridge. The course is described as flat, fast, scenic and largely traffic free.
The event is Run England licensed and the measured course is England Athletics certified (Licence ID 28984). Terrain includes road, path, gravel and grass over the 13.1 mile distance. Water stations are located at about 3 miles, 5.5 miles, 8.5 miles and at the finish; only water is provided on course and additional food and drinks are available at the finish.
On-course support and safety include marshals, sweep marshals and full professional first aid cover. Pacemakers will be present. Prizes are awarded to the top three in each sex category with vouchers and prize money for first, second and third places, plus a free entry into another River Thames Running event.
Entry details include a standard entry period from 23 March 2026 to 23 October 2026. Club and non club entry prices are listed with transaction fees. Race numbers are collection only with options to collect on race morning or from specified sports shops from 16 October. Minimum age is 17 years on race day. Entries are non transferable and non deferrable; a full refund is available only within 14 days of payment.
