About the race
The event offers chip timed 5 km and 10 km distances on a paved path at Old Mill Park in Fredericksburg along the Rappahannock River. The 5 km course is out and back; the 10 km repeats the 5 km course. The route has a few small hills and is described as stroller and kid friendly.
Points from this event count toward the Year Long 5k, 10k and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Winter Series. A virtual race option is available for participants who cannot attend in person.
Runners receive two donut holes, a finisher medal, a technical Drifit event shirt, and chip timing. T shirts are guaranteed for those registered before January 6 and may be available afterward on a first come first served basis. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered, though shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for race day registrants.
Aid is provided with five water stations on the 10 km at approximately miles 1.1, 2, 3.1, 4.2 and 5.1, and two water stations on the 5 km at about miles 1.1 and 2. Gatorade is available at some stations. Restrooms are located near the parking lot. Awards include top three overall men and women and age group prizes with specified age brackets.
