Donut Do Drugs Run
This event is a remembrance run held at Fond du Lac Lakeside/Riverside Park along the shore of Lake Winnebago. The gathering begins with a dove release to honor lives lost to drug overdose and to mark a moment of remembrance.
Participants can choose from multiple in-person distances and a virtual option. The course runs along lakefront pathways, over bridge crossings, and through park paths that showcase autumn foliage. Event features listed for participants include event T-shirts, finisher medals for 5k and 10k, food, a sweepstakes giveaway, and cash prizes for the top male and female in the 10k.
The event raises funds to provide drug-prevention education books for children and to support the Fond du Lac Police Department K9 program. The organizer lists shirt pickup options and a virtual-run option that includes shipping of a shirt and 5k/10k medal while supplies last.
The event information notes that walkers, runners, families, and supporters are part of the event environment and that the race aims to combine remembrance with community support and awareness around drug overdose and prevention.
