Event Details
The Turkey Trails is a Thanksgiving-themed running event in Springfield, Missouri. The event takes place on a Saturday in November.
Available Races
Participants can register for several distances and activities:
- Half Marathon
- 10k
- 5k
- 1 Mile
- Kid's Dash (an untimed dash for children 10 and under)
- Virtual Race (allows participants to run on their own time and location)
A "Volunteer then Run" option is also listed. For the 5k and 10k events, there is youth-based pricing for participants aged 12 and under.
Registration Information
Registration includes various items depending on the event. A custom bib, a designer shirt, and a finisher medal are included for the Half Marathon, 5k, and 10k. The 1 Mile includes a designer shirt and a challenge pin. The Kid's Dash includes a mini bib, a youth-sized shirt, and a kid's dash pin. Children can run the Kid's Dash for free if they do not want the included items.
Event Features
The event uses chip timing with live results. Free photos are offered. There are treats at the finish line. Awards are given for the 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon for overall, masters, and multiple age group categories. The Kid's Dash, 1 Mile, and Virtual events are untimed and do not qualify for awards.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on race day starting an hour and a half before the event. The event has a no-refund policy, but participants unable to attend can receive their packet and run virtually. The event proceeds in most weather conditions and would only be canceled due to venue requirements or ice hazards, with a transfer to the virtual option.
