Last Chance Ultra
Last Chance Ultra is a multi-distance trail event scheduled for December 5 and 6, 2026, near Springfield, Missouri. The event uses a central base camp that contains the start and finish area, space for crews and campers, and the main aid station. The course for every race is a roughly 2 mile loop on well maintained trails with some gravel and pavement; each lap returns to base camp.
Distances offered include:
- 50k
- 50 mi
- 100k
- 100 mi
- 10 mi
Runners must be self-sufficient; the main aid station at the start/finish provides supplemental food and electrolytes but participants should carry necessary supplies. Timing is electronic with a one-time-use chip attached to the back of the race bib; the bib must be worn visibly on the front of the body. All entrants must complete their distance on foot and finish within the event cutoff of 32 hours to be an official finisher. Pacers are permitted under specific rules: they must be on foot, over 18, wear a bib, and may join a runner after the halfway point. Crews and on-site camping are allowed; there are no camper hookups and only porta potties on site.
Awards include a finisher medal or buckle by distance, top three male and female awards per race, and a prize for the last official finisher. The event address is 6176 S State Hwy VV, Rogersville, MO 65742. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
