The Golden Harvest event on September 27, 2026, at Busse Woods Shelter 25 in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, offers multiple race formats including in-person and virtual participation. Event options range from very short youth races to a half marathon, and several distances provide chip timing with awards. Distance options include: - Kid's Dash - 50 meters - 1 Mile - 1 Miles - 5K - 3.1 Miles - 10K - 6.2 Miles - Half Marathon - 13.1 Miles - Running Buddy Half Marathon - 13.1 Miles - Virtual Run - run any day, any location - Volunteer then Run - volunteer then run any distance Race registrations include a custom bib, a designer event shirt, and a finisher medal for most distances. The 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon offer chip timing with live results and awards.
The Kid's Dash is untimed and intended for children 10 and under; a youth-sized shirt, mini bib, and a special kid's medal are included, and children may participate without claiming the swag. The Virtual Run registration includes a digital bib, mailed packet with shirt and medal, and the ability to upload times and photos. The Running Buddy Half Marathon requires prior application and approval.
