Heatwave Half Marathon - Greater Chicago

The Heatwave Half Marathon offers a variety of road racing distances in the Greater Chicago area. Participants can choose from several event formats tailored to different interests:

• 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon and Half Marathon Relay)
• 10K
• 5K
• 1 Miles (Untimed)
• 50m (Kids Dash)

The half marathon, 10K, and 5K events use chip-timing to provide live results and awards. The 13.1 Miles relay option allows participants to form teams of any size, with each member registering individually. For younger participants, the 50m Kids Dash is an untimed event designed for children aged 10 and under. There is also a free participation option for the Kids Dash for those who do not require event souvenirs.

Registered participants receive a designer shirt, a custom bib, and a finisher medal. To ensure shirt availability, registration must be completed by midnight on the Thursday falling two weeks before the event. The finish line area features complimentary ice cream and free event photography.

A virtual race option is available for those unable to attend in person. This allows participants to complete their chosen distance at any location and upload their times to a digital results page to receive their medal and shirt by mail.
