Heatwave Half Marathon - Greater Chicago
This event takes place on August 2, 2026 at Busse Woods Picnic Grove #32 in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Multiple in-person race options and a virtual event are offered at the same event date and location.

Several entry types include a custom bib, a designer event shirt, and a finisher medal. The 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Half Marathon Relay use chip timing with live results and awards; the 1 Mile and Kids Dash are explicitly untimed. Youth pricing of $17 applies for ages 12 and under for the 5K and 10K in the information provided. The Kids Dash registration includes a youth-sized shirt, a mini bib, and a specially crafted medal, and a child may run the Kids Dash without swag for no fee on race day.
Virtual participants receive a digital bib and a mailed packet that includes shirt and medal; packets are stated to ship the Wednesday after the race and participants can upload times and photos starting the day of the event.
