Christmas in July Half Marathon and 5K (Chicago area)
The Christmas in July Half Marathon and 5K is scheduled for July 18, 2026, at Busse Forest - Busse Lake Boating Center Picnic Grove #25 in Elk Grove Village, IL. The event offers two live race distances:

- 5K
Early packet pickup is available on Friday, July 17, near the start/finish area at Busse Forest; participants are asked to look for the white Fun-Races trailer. On race day there is packet pickup and check-in for each distance, and a post-race Christmas party follows the runs.
Listed entry fees include $69.99 for the live Half Marathon and $35.99 for the live 5K; those prices are shown with a price-valid-until date of April 3, 2026. The event also advertises a larger novelty finisher item for the half marathon referred to as a "bigger fidget spinner medal" and a finisher's medal that includes blinking lights.
The event includes a team bonus program: when registering a team, participants provide a team name and password; once a team reaches five participants the first four receive $5 cash back and the fifth and subsequent team members receive a $5 discount on their race fee.
