Event Overview
The Dogwood Dash 5K & Mini Dash is a running and walking event held in Bristol, Tennessee. The race is organized as part of the 100th Dogwood Homecoming weekend at King University. The course begins and finishes at the King University campus, specifically near the Student Center on Hart Blvd. Participants follow a route that transitions from the campus grounds through the historic Fairmount residential neighborhood.
The event consists of two main distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Mini Dash (for children)
The races are electronically timed by We Run Events using B-tags attached to the back of the participant's race bib. Results are made available through onsite kiosks or digital QR codes following the completion of the event.
Participation Details
Registration for the event is open to runners, walkers, and wheelchair athletes. While professional timing is provided, the course is also accessible to those with baby strollers, who are asked to remain at the back of the starting pack. Participants are permitted to bring well-behaved, leashed dogs. Headphones may be worn during the race, though alertness at intersections is required as the route passes through residential areas. Bicycles, skateboards, and rollerblades are not permitted on the course. Packet pickup is available at the King University Student Center both the day before and the morning of the event.
