Dodge City X
Dodge City X is an off-road triathlon held in Cumberland, British Columbia, on September 12, 2026. Race Central is based at Cumberland Village Park and the swim takes place at Comox Lake. The event combines a lake swim, mountain biking on singletrack, and a trail run that finishes at Village Park.
Offered formats include Sprint, Standard, Standard Relay, Youth Relay and Just 4 Fun Family Relay. The event is designated as the 2026 BC Cross Triathlon Championship and is a qualifier for the 2027 World Championship.
All athletes must have race-day insurance through a valid 2026 Triathlon BC membership. Athletes from Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador are covered by a reciprocating agreement. Athletes from Ontario and Quebec must purchase a one-day TriBC membership. Other participants who are not covered must also purchase one-day TriBC coverage.
A range of volunteer roles is described for pre-race setup and race day, including course flagging, swim and bike marshals, aid stations, transition attendants, first aid on course and de-flagging. Volunteers receive lunch and a drink, an event t-shirt if registered by the cut-off date, and entry into volunteer-only prize draws. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
