Road Atlanta Trail Run
The Road Atlanta Trail Run is an annual off-road racing event held in Braselton, Georgia. Part of the "Off The Grid" Trail Run Series, this event takes place within the private trail system of the Road Atlanta grounds. The venue is typically closed to the public and is only accessible to runners on the day of the race.
Participants can choose from two distance options:
- 4.55 miles (one lap)
- 9.10 miles (two laps)
The course begins in an open field on a gravel path to allow for initial spacing between runners before entering the wooded trail system. The terrain features a mix of single-track and double-track paths, consisting of rolling hills, rocks, and roots. Both distances follow a counter-clockwise direction through the woods. The environment includes well-groomed trails with gentle slopes and natural scenery.
The event has a participant limit of 325 runners. Registration includes a soft tri-blend shirt, though availability is not guaranteed for those registering late or on-site. Awards are provided to the top three finishers in various age-based categories, ranging from under 14 to over 80 years old, as well as masters and grandmasters categories. A portion of the proceeds from the race supports the Prima Tappa High School Mountain Bike Team. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
