17th Annual Gainesville Turkey Trot
The event takes place on November 26, 2026 at the Riverside Military Academy track area in Gainesville, Georgia. It offers multiple running distances and a youth fun run, with packet pickup available the day before and on race morning at Limestone Shirt Factory.

Course and logistics details: the 5K is an out-and-back route; the 10K consists of two laps of the 5K course; the half marathon is three loops and contains some hills. The youth run is held on the Riverside track and comprises four track laps. The half marathon course has self-serve aid stations and support personnel riding the course. The 5K course includes two water stops and a porta-potty located near the 5K midpoint.
Participant items and services: 5K, 10K, and half marathon entrants are eligible for a soft quarter zip hoodie if registered by November 16. Youth fun run participants receive a printed long sleeve drifit shirt and a finisher medal. Digital timing will be used and results will be posted promptly.
Community request: participants are asked to bring at least three canned goods to bib pickup or race morning for donation to Gainesville First United Methodist Church. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
