17th Annual Gainesville Turkey Trot 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and Youth Fun Run
The event is held at the Riverside Military Academy track area in Gainesville, Georgia. It offers multiple race distances and a youth track fun run on Thanksgiving morning.

Course and race details are described by the organizer. The 5K is an out-and-back loop and the 10K repeats the 5K course twice. The Half Marathon is three loops and includes a few hills; support will ride the course and there are self-serve aid stations. Two water stops are provided on the 5K/10K and a porta potty is located near the 5K midpoint. The youth fun run takes place on the Riverside track and is four loops.
Participants in the 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon receive a soft quarter zip pullover if registered by November 16. Youth fun run entrants receive a printed long sleeve shirt and a finisher medal. Digital timing is provided and results are posted promptly. The organizer requests that participants bring three canned goods at bib pickup or on race morning for donation to Gainesville First United Methodist Church.
