Dirty Feet Heartbreak 100k, Relay, 50k, 25k and 25k night race
This event takes place at the Stake Lake Nordic Centre near Kamloops, BC. Distances offered include:
- 100 km solo or relay for teams up to 6 people
- 50 km solo or relay on four legs
- 25 km daytime and 25 km night race
The course uses a mix of single track and double track with hills, rocks, roots and some technical rock features. The 100 km route is run as eight legs (legs 1 and 5 are 10 km, legs 3 and 7 are 10 km, legs 2, 4, 6 and 8 are 15 km) with approximately 2000 m of elevation. The 50 km route covers about 1000 m of elevation and can be completed solo or as four relay legs (10 km, 15 km, 10 km, 15 km). Trails pass ponds and areas with birdlife; the start and finish are within walking distance of parking and the main staging area.
Aid stations and drop bag access are available at the main headquarters near the parking lot. Mandatory rules and safety notes include carrying minimum electrolytes, headlamps from 18:00, two headlamps for the night 25 km, and a light jacket after 18:00. Pacers are not allowed and crew access is limited to the start/finish headquarters. Finishers receive event swag; solo 100 km finishers receive a belt buckle and medals are awarded for other distances. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
