Dirty Feet : Beat the Buzzer at Stake Lake (Kamloops area)
Dirty Feet : Beat the Buzzer is a backyard ultra held on looped trail terrain at Stake Lake near Kamloops. The course is approximately 6 to 6.5 km per lap. The event restarts every hour and any runner or team must complete the loop in under an hour to begin the next lap. Entries are available for solo runners and teams, with under 6 hour and over 6 hour categories; teams are capped at 24 hours.
The route uses single track and double track with climbs, descents, rocky and sandy sections. The start/finish area has space for tents and pit setups. Organizers provide a light food station at the start/finish but participants are responsible for their own water and long‑haul nutrition. Course maps and final route details are published prior to the race.
Event features include custom finish swag, sponsored lap challenges and lap prizes. A cash prize of $200 is allocated to the last solo runner remaining. The event also functions as a fundraiser for the Kamloops Food Bank. Race logistics note on site packet pick up on race morning, limited camping for overnight competitors, and a no refund policy with possible transfer to another 2026 event if requested in advance.
