Dirty Dozen 50K - Forest Park, Queens
The Dirty Dozen 50K is a loop ultramarathon held in Forest Park in Queens, New York. The course uses the Orange Trail as a 2.5 mile loop run counterclockwise for a total of 12 laps. Each loop includes roughly 300 feet of elevation gain, and the repeated laps create a steady, measurable climb through shaded woods and rolling terrain inside the park.
Aid stations are positioned so runners pass a fully stocked station after each lap; these stations provide hydration, nutrition, and volunteer support. The event includes a race briefing and bib pickup before the run. There is an 8 hour cutoff for finishing all 12 laps.
The race is scheduled for August 29, 2026. Registration is open with limited space and a listed entry price of 120.65 USD; registration closes on August 26. The organizers are a team of New York based ultrarunners who present the event as a grassroots, no-frills race focused on local community and on-course support.
Late August weather can include heat, humidity, or sudden rain. Trail shoes are recommended for the terrain and elevation on the Orange Trail. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
