Run Rockaway Beach NYC End of Summer Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K
The event takes place on August 22, 2026 at Beach 94th Street on the Rockaway Beach boardwalk in Queens, New York City. Start and finish locations are on Beach 94th Street on the boardwalk.
Distances offered include:
- Marathon: 26.2 miles, four loops on the boardwalk.
- Half Marathon: 13.1 miles, two loops with U turns at Beach 124 and 54.
- 5K: 3.1 miles, out and back between Beach 94 and Beach 124.
The half marathon consists of two identical loops that begin and end at Beach 94th; the full marathon adds two additional loops for a total of four. The 5K is an out and back course that uses the same section of boardwalk and U turn points described above.
Public parking is available in a lot at Beach 94th. Water and Gatorade are provided at multiple locations along the course. Participants receive a T shirt and a medal.
Registration opened on September 2, 2025 and closed on June 12, 2026. Listed registration fees were $95 for the marathon, $65 for the half marathon, and $45 for the 5K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
