Event
Runner's Edge - TOBAY Triathlon & Junior Triathlon takes place Saturday and Sunday, August 22-23, 2026, at Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in Oyster Bay, NY. The weekend includes an Individual Triathlon, Relay Team (2 or 3 members), AquaBike, BikeRun, and two Junior Triathlon distances. The Individual event is open to ages 14 and up. Town of Oyster Bay residents receive a $5 discount with code TOB5. Shirts and a custom finisher medal are provided to participants, though swag is not guaranteed for registrations after August 18.
Distances and course
- Swim: 1/2 mile in Oyster Bay Harbor
- Bike: 12.3K one loop through Oyster Bay and Oyster Bay Cove
- Run: 5K through Mill Neck and Brookville, up to Planting Fields Arboretum and back down to Roosevelt Park
- Junior Short Course: Swim 100 yards; Bike 2.5 miles; Run 1 mile
- Junior Long Course: Swim 200 yards; Bike 2.5 miles; Run 1 mile
The main triathlon begins in the Town of Oyster Bay, with the swim in calm harbor waters, a single bike loop described as fairly hilly with downhill and flat sections toward the finish, and a road run that passes local towns and the arboretum. The Junior Triathlon is held on Saturday; juniors swim in Oyster Bay Harbor and bike and run through Roosevelt Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
