Runner’s Edge TOBAY Triathlon
The Runner’s Edge TOBAY Triathlon takes place at Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Park in Oyster Bay, NY. The adult triathlon is scheduled for August 23, 2026 and the youth triathlon for August 22, 2026.
The event distances include:
- Adult: 0.5 mile swim, 7.6 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Youth: 100 or 200 yard swim options, 2.5 mile bike, 1 mile run
Course details note a half mile swim in calm Oyster Bay Harbor. The adult bike course is a 12.3K loop through Oyster Bay and Oyster Bay Cove that is described as fairly hilly with downhill and flat sections toward the finish; roads on the bike course remain open to traffic. The adult run is a 5K route through Mill Neck and Brookville up to Planting Fields Arboretum and back to Roosevelt Park. The youth bike course includes multiple laps on a closed road and the youth run follows park paths.
This is a USA Triathlon sanctioned event. All participants must have an annual USAT membership or purchase a one day membership as required by USAT rules. Timing uses the ChampionChip electronic system and participants must wear the timing chip on the ankle and return it at the finish. Wetsuit rules follow USAT temperature guidelines and wearing a wetsuit in certain ranges can affect award eligibility.
Cut off times are published for each leg and race rules require helmets, visible race numbers, and no headphones. Awards are given to top overall finishers and to age group categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
