Dirty Dog Trail Run at Midland City Forest
The Dirty Dog Trail Run is a trail event held in Midland City Forest that offers running and walking options with optional dog participation on leash. The course uses a mix of unpaved two-track and single-track trails that traverse flat land and hills through a 520 acre preserve of woods, creeks, marshes, and bridges. A separate one mile walk follows a flat, unpaved path through the woods.
Distances:
- 10K run
- 5K run and walk
- 1 mile walk
The event is chip timed with a kiosk for time and place available at the finish. A water station is located mid-course, and fruit, snacks, and water will be provided after the event. Finisher medals and awards are distributed following the race.
Pet participation is encouraged but not required; all dogs must be kept on leashes and handlers are asked to be mindful of each dog’s limitations and of other participants. The event takes place rain or shine; in the event of thunder or lightning the run will be postponed and participants asked to wait until conditions are clear. If the event is cancelled, registrations will be converted to a virtual format and a packet pickup process will be put in place.
Pre-registration includes an option to purchase a shirt for $10. Same day registration is available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
