UT San Antonio Alumni Diploma Dash 5K - San Antonio
Now in its 42nd year, the UT San Antonio Alumni Diploma Dash is a 5K event held on the UT San Antonio Main Campus with the Convocation Center as the start line location. The event typically brings together nearly 2,000 runners who run through the heart of the campus.
The event supports student scholarships with a stated fundraising goal of over $150,000. Finishers receive a commemorative medal. Sponsorships support scholarships and alumni programs, with packages starting at $1,000.
Event categories include individual runners, a special alumni member rate, student runners (ages 12 and up who are UT San Antonio students), virtual runners, military runners, and family fun runs in DFW and Houston; additional details for the family runs are listed as coming soon. Registration opens on May 1, 2026; most categories close January 24, 2027, while student registration remains available through race day. Fees vary by category, for example individual $40, alumni member $35, student $25, virtual $35, military $35, family fun runs $40.
Packet pick-up is scheduled for February 25 and 26 at Smokey Mo's TX BBQ, UTSA location, 6010 UTSA Boulevard #106, San Antonio, TX 78249, with an evening pick-up window.
