About the race
Barnes Fitness presents the Dinton 5km & 10km Summer Series, a four-month event held at Dinton Pastures Country Park in Hurst, Wokingham. The series runs over four events and is in its 16th year. Races take place on flat lakeside trails that are off road and traffic free.
The adult options are 5 km (one lap) and 10 km (two laps). A 2 km kids race is held before the adult race; it is an out-and-back course with children kept in sight of a marshal. For 2027 the minimum ages were updated: 5 km minimum age 11, 10 km minimum age 15, and the junior race minimum age 4.
Event services include a bespoke finisher metal medal, chip timed results available instantly, free race photographs, and prizes for podium and age category winners (V40/50/60/70/80). The course is fully marked and marshalled with on-site first aid and free fruit at the finish. A bottle of prosecco is given to the last finisher in the 5 km and 10 km races for entrants aged 18 or over.
A flat rate parking fee of £5 can be prebooked to cover one vehicle from 06:00 to 22:00. There is also an option to run virtually and receive a medal on submission of proof such as a Garmin or Strava link. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
