Distances and Dates
The Dinton 5km & 10km Summer Series consists of four races on Thursday evenings in Dinton Pastures Country Park. The distances are:
- 2 km for children aged 4 to 14
- 5 km for participants aged 13 and over
- 10 km for participants aged 16 and over
The four race dates are: 14 May, 18 June, 16 July, and 13 August. The children's race starts 30 minutes before the main 5km and 10km events.
Course and Location
The course is an off-road and traffic-free route within Dinton Pastures Country Park, near Reading. The terrain is described as flat. The 5km is one lap of the course, while the 10km is two laps. The children's 2km is an out-and-back course.
Series Information and Pricing
Participants can enter individual races or the entire series. Entering the whole series offers a lower price per race. Prices for single races range from £8.00 for the children's 2km to £26.00 for the 10km. Series package prices are £94.00 for the 10km, £88.00 for the 5km, and £24.00 for the children's 2km. Adult participants who register for the full series before 10 April receive a free pair of socks.
Event Features
The organizer lists several event standards. These include chip timing with instant results, a metal finisher's medal, awards for podium and age group winners, free downloadable event photos, and free fruit at the finish line.
