Dinton 5km & 10km Summer Series
The Dinton Summer Series is an annual running event held at Dinton Pastures Country Park, near Reading. The series consists of four separate evening races held once a month from May to August. Participants have the option to enter individual races or the entire series.
The course features an off-road, traffic-free route that is described as pancake flat. The 5 km distance consists of a single lap around the park, while the 10 km distance requires runners to complete the circuit twice. This flat terrain provides an opportunity for participants to track their progress and attempt to lower their course records over the four-month period.
In addition to the adult distances, there is a 2 km kids race designed for children aged 4 to 14. This junior event follows an out-and-back course where participants remain within sight of a marshal at all times.
Available distances include:
- 10 km
- 5 km
- 2 km (Junior)
The event utilizes chip timing with results provided immediately upon finishing. The course is signposted and supported by marshals at various locations. After completing the race, participants receive a metal medal and have access to free fruit at the finish line. Post-race photos are also made available for free download. For those traveling by car, a flat-rate parking fee of £5 is available for pre-booking through the registration confirmation. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
