Dino Dash - Tustin, CA
Dino Dash is a community run, walk, and bike event held at The Market Place, 2915 El Camino Real, Tustin, CA. The event benefits the Tustin Public Schools Foundation, a charitable organization that funds grants, scholarships, and enrichment programs such as after-school sports, robotics, college readiness, and Tustin Summer Academy.
The program includes multiple race and ride options:
- 2K fun run and walk, non-timed.
- 5K chip-timed run and walk.
- 10K chip-timed run and walk.
- 15K bike tour (9.1 miles) on open roads, recommended for ages 13 and up.
- 5K bike tour (3.1 miles) on closed streets, family friendly.
- 5K Middle School event with free registration.
Awards and finish items are student-focused. The finisher medal for the 10K, 5K, and Bike Tour features a student-designed logo. Top finishers in each age division for the 5K and 10K receive hand-made trophies by Tustin Unified students; second and third places receive medals. The 2K and the Bike Tours are not timed and do not have age division awards.
Bike tour notes: helmets are required for all riders; riders must know and follow traffic laws and be able to fix mechanicals. Electric bikes are allowed on the 15K tour. A free family Expo offers activities, school fundraising booths, and exhibitors. Race-day registrations are not guaranteed a shirt due to limited quantities.
