Dino Dash
Dino Dash is a community run, walk, and bike event at The Market Place in Tustin that benefits the Tustin Public Schools Foundation. The event combines timed races, untimed fun runs, and bike tours with a free family Expo featuring activities, school fundraising booths, and exhibitors.
Offered distances include:
- 2K (fun run)
- 5K (chip timed)
- 10K (chip timed)
- 15K bike tour (9.1 miles)
- 5K bike tour (3.1 miles)
The 5K and 10K races include age division awards. Top finishers in each age division for those races receive an official Dino Dash trophy hand made by Tustin Unified students; second and third place in each division receive medals. The 2K fun run and both bike tours are not timed and do not have age division awards. Finisher medals for the 10K, 5K, and bike tours feature a student designed logo.
The 15K bike tour travels through Tustin and Irvine before returning to The Market Place and is recommended for riders age 13 and up because it takes place on open roads. The 5K bike tour is on closed streets and described as family friendly. Race day registrations are not guaranteed a shirt. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
