Vaquero Strong 5K

The Vaquero Strong 5K is a community 3.1-mile run organized by the PTSA and ASB of Irvine High School on October 24, 2026. The event takes place at Irvine High Stadium, 4321 Walnut Ave, Irvine, CA 92604.

Every participant receives a race t-shirt and a finisher medal. Awards are presented by age division, three deep, with divisions extending through age 70 and over. Coffee, food, and other items are available for purchase before and after the run.

Registration opens February 1, 2026 and closes October 1, 2026. Entry fees through October 1 are $30 for the 5K, $20 for participants 18 and under, and $12 for children 5 and under; fees increase after October 1 to $35 for the 5K and $25 for 18 and under. Proceeds support Irvine High students and staff, including updates to the Mental Health Wellness Center, teacher mini grants, student scholarships, recognition programs such as the Spur and Heritage Awards, and other campus initiatives.
