Dime McCarren 5K Run/Walk
The Dime McCarren 5K Run/Walk takes place on June 13, 2026 at John Ericsson Playground in Brooklyn, NY. The course is 3.1 miles, electronically timed and accurately measured, and routes participants through streets of North Brooklyn before returning to the finish. The route has been updated due to a road closure at N. 11th St.
Amenities include a T-shirt, sports drinks, a post-race spread of fruit and bottled water, an informal bag check (organizers cannot take responsibility for lost or stolen items), toilets, and water on the course.
Awards are presented for the top three male and female overall finishers with Brooklyn Running Company gift cards of $300, $200, and $150. Top three male and female finishers in each age group receive $25 gift cards. Top three male and female first responders receive $250, $175, and $125; full-time first responders eligible for awards must show photo proof before the award presentation. All award winners must have their bib during the award presentation, and attendance at the awards program is required to receive certificates.
Packet pickup locations include a day-of race packet station on Leonard Street and pre-race pickup at Brooklyn Running Company, 222 Grand St, Brooklyn, NY. Registrants receive notifications about bib numbers prior to pickup. Live online results, same-day finish line photos, and video are available.
