Devil's Punchbowl guided 10 km trail run
This is a guided trail run around the Devil's Punchbowl in Hindhead, Surrey, covering a distance of 10 km. The meeting point is the Devil's Punchbowl car park. Parking is available on site. The event is offered for a fee of £22 per person.
The route follows local trails through the natural amphitheatre and includes several hills. The group will pause at higher points to take in the views. Runs are conducted as a group rather than as a race; steeper climbs are often walked and the group regroups regularly. Participants should be comfortable maintaining an average pace of around 10 min/mile (6:15 min/km) on trails for prolonged periods to fully enjoy the session. Faster runners should expect occasional easier, more social pacing.
Sessions vary by season. Sunset runs take place in lighter, warmer months and offer running at dusk. Night runs take place in darker, colder months and are run with headtorch in a group environment. A full kit list will be provided in advance. Torches from a partner brand are available to trial on the run. Detailed practical information is sent to participants before the event.
